UPSC Exam 2024- Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the UPSC IAS exam every year to recruit eligible candidates in the prestigious All India Service. UPSC is going to conduct Civil Service Examination on National Level for filling numerous vacancies of all India Services and various Central Civil Services. The selection of the candidates will be done through Prelims, Mains and Interview round where Prelims is Objective-type and Mains are descriptive-type. The final merit list will be prepared on counting the Mains Marks and Interview round.

General Studies- IV: Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude
This paper will include questions to test the candidates’ attitude and approach to issues relating to integrity, probity in public life and his problem solving approach to various issues and conflicts faced by him in dealing with society. Questions may utilise the case study approach to determine these aspects. The following broad areas will be covered :
• Ethics and Human Interface: Essence, determinants and consequences of Ethics in-human actions; dimensions of ethics; ethics - in private and public relationships. Human Values - lessons from the lives and teachings of great leaders, reformers and administrators; role of family society and educational institutions in inculcating values.
• Attitude: content, structure, function; its influence and relation with thought and behaviour; moral and political attitudes; social influence and persuasion.
• Aptitude and foundational values for Civil Service, integrity, impartiality and nonpartisanship, objectivity, dedication to public service, empathy, tolerance and compassion towards the weaker-sections. 
• Emotional intelligence-concepts, and their utilities and application in administration and governance.
• Contributions of moral thinkers and philosophers from India and world.
• Public/Civil service values and Ethics in Public administration: Status and problems; ethical concerns and dilemmas in government and private institutions; laws, rules, regulations and conscience as sources of ethical guidance; accountability and ethical governance; strengthening of ethical and moral values in governance; ethical issues in international relations and funding; corporate governance.

UPSC IAS 2022 Vacancy

UPSC conducts CSE exam to recruit candidates in the high bureaucratic posts of central government, UPSC recruit candidates for various posts which are given below. This year number of vacancy under UPSC Exam 2022 is 1011 and last year were 712. Out of the 1011 vacancies, 180 vacancies are for IAS and 200 vacancies are for IPS. There are 150 vacancies for the newly introduced service – Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS). UPSC IAS Exam 2022 Eligibility

Eligibility for UPSC is one of the first questions which crops up in the mind of a CSE aspirant. The nationality, the number of attempts, age limit and educational qualifications are some of the basic eligibility criteria for UPSC IAS Exam. All candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the UPSC IAS Exam 2022 and ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

Nationality

For Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India. For all other services, a candidate can either be a citizen of India or

1. A citizen of Nepal/ Bhutan

2. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

3. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Note: Candidates who are subjects of Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan refugees are not eligible to apply for Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

Age Limit

Candidates must be minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 32 years of age as on 01st August 2022. This means that candidates must have born not earlier than August 2, 1990 and not later than August 1, 2001.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have completed their Graduation from any of Central or State Universities which incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University.

Number of Attempts

The number of attempts allowed for each candidate in UPSC Exam are 6 for general category candidates. While the number of attempt are 9 for OBC Category Candidates. There is no restriction on the number of attempt of SC/ST Candidates. Candidates must note if they had appeared as many times as the number of attempt allowed in UPSC CSE Prelims, then they are no more eligible for the UPSC IAS Exam.

UPSC CSE Result 2022

The UPSC is going to release the result of CSE Prelims exam in the month of July 2022. UPSC generally declars approximately 45 days after the exam.
