Staff Selection Commission will conduct GD Constables Exam 2019 to fill in the vacant posts of General Duty at BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, Rifleman, etc. The official notification of the same has been released on 21st July 2019 but online registration will start from 24th July 2019 onwards.
SSC is an examining body conducting various exams to appoint suitable candidates for various posts lying vacant in the government departments. These exams are held at regular intervals in accordance with the set calendar released.
SSC has released SSC
GD (Constables) 2019 exam on 21st July 2019 with
54953 vacancies. These vacancies will be filled by conduction SSC GD 2019 Exam.

SSC GD 2019 Exam will be held to appoint eligible candidates for the post of
constable in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA and riflemen. The recruitment
process comprises of four stages namely:
a) Physical Standard
Test (PST)
b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
c) Computer based test
d) Medical test.

Promotion Policy related to SSC GD Constable
After a span of few years SSC GD constable gets a chance to be promoted to the post of Constable (GD). The appointment will be under separate CAPF Department. The time period varies from department to department. Sometimes the candidate have to undergo departmental exam for promotion while other times number of years or experience counts.
Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGD 2019
Educational Qualification for SSC CGD :
Candidates who have to apply for GD Constable (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA and riflemen) should have passed 10th class or equivalent from an affiliated board.
Age Limit of SSC CGD:
Candidate should be between 18 to 23 years to apply for SSC GD 2019 Exam. Those who belong to reserved categories will have age relaxation benefit. The age limit will be calculated with reference to 01/08/2019.

Exam Pattern of SSC GD 2019
SSC GD 2019 Exam will be held in three main phases:
- Written examination (Computer Based)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
The test will be having multiple choice questions with four sections with 25 questions in each section. Each question will carry 1 mark. Wrong answers will be given a negative marking with as much as 0.25 marks for every error committed.

SSC GD PRE – Exam Training
At times SSC organizes Pre exam training to facilitate the students belonging to the reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/others. It is provided free of cost but the TA and DA is not paid, these expenses are borne by the candidates.
There is no interview procedure for SSC GD Constable Exam.
Application fee for SSC GD 2019 Exam is Rs. 100/- for General category candidates and those who belong to SC/ST/PWD category are not required to pay any application fee.

Things to remember for SSC GD Constable 2019-19 Online Exam
- SSC GD Exam is conducted in Online Mode all over India.
- Questions are in asked in MCQ format and all the questions are compulsory to attempt.
- Each question carry one mark each
- The exam was conducted bilingual i.e. in both English and Hindi Medium.
- SSC GD Exam does not follow negative marking.
- Normalization of marks will be done while deciding the minimum qualifying marks for the examinees.
- Remember to carry atleast one original Photo ID such as Voter’s ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, ID Cards issued by Government or other Offices where the candidates may be working.
- Those who will not carry ID Cards will not be allowed to enter the Examination hall.
- Candidates must carry latest two (2) passport size photographs to affix it in the official copy of Admit Card in the presence of officials/ Invigilators at the time of Computer Based Examination, PST/ PET and DME/ RME, if required.
- Candidates will be provide rough paper and pen by the examination center.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the time scheduled for the test.
