Railway JE Recruitment 2018-19 is going to held to recruit candidates for the posts of Junior Engineer(JE), Junior Engineer(Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent(DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant(CMA). The Online Registration for Railway JE 2019 Exam will start from 02nd January 2019. All candidates can apply online for Railway JE 2019 Exam by 31st January 2019. The online application link will be updated here on 2nd January.

free training for the exam. No TA or DA is given to them. A separate list of
the centers is generally released in the official notification of RRB. One
needs to apply for it at the given link in the notification to avail it.

Admit Card RRB JE 2019
Admit card plays an integral part of the examination therefore those appearing in RRB JE 2019 Exam should carry it by downloading it from the official website through log in id and password used at the time of registration. Applicants are required to carry valid ID Proof and passport size photograph. The list of valid ID is as given below:
- Aadhar card
- Driving license
- PAN card
- Voter ID
- Passport
- If the candidate is a government employee, then he can bring his ID card as his proof
- Valid ID cards of colleges, universities etc
Choose any of the above IDs and carry along at the time of the examination as it is required to be presented with ADMIT CARD.
STEPS TO DOWNLOAD ADMIT CARD
Admit card will be available 10 to 15 days before the examination one can follow the relevant steps given below to download the same:
- First of all one should visit the official RRB website indianrailways.gov.in
- Then Click on the ‘RRB JE Admit Card’ link, a new page will open
- Go to the Login the page with the provided Registration Number and Password and click on the login button
- Providing the relevant details will generate your admit card on the system.
- Finally one can download the RRB JE admit card and by using the print option, take a print copy of it.
After all the phases of exams are over, result is declared after 2 to 3 months, which can be seen by the candidates after filling in the relevant details by visiting the official website. At times the merit list is declared where you need to know your roll number and search for it in the list of successful candidates.
RRB JE Cutoff
The official cutoff for RRB JE 2018-19 will be published by the board. The board itself will fix the cutoff for all the categories. Candidates will be called for the next stage of the selection process based on the exam cutoff.

There are some important factors which affect the cutoffs every year and these factors are:-
- The number of candidates who are appearing in the exam
- The difficulty level of the exam

In RRB exam, the
candidates who clear the cutoffs will be considered as qualified and the
candidates who fail to qualify will be declared disqualified.
Q.1 In Railways JE 2018-19 exams, can final year engineering students apply for any post?
– No, they cannot apply for any post.
Q.2 Who can apply for the post of Depot Material Superintendent (DMS)?
–The candidates who have Three years Diploma or degree in Engineering in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute can apply for the post of DMS.
Q.3 Can a candidate who is applying for the post of DMS choose CMA (Physics and Chemistry) group as technical abilities subject?
– The candidates who are applying for the post DMS post cannot choose CMA (Physics & Chemistry) exam group as the technical abilities subject.
Q.4 What is the eligibility criteria to apply for the post of JE Information Technology?
– The candidates who have PGDCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA / B.Tech. (Information Technology) / B.Tech. (Computer Science)/ DOEACC ‘B’ level course of three years duration or equivalent from recognized University / Institute through regular or open and Distance Learning mode of education can apply for the post of JE Information Technology.
Q.5 What is the eligibility criteria to apply for the post of Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) post?
– The candidates who have Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics & Chemistry with minimum of 45% marks from a recognized University/Institute can apply for the post of Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).
NOTE– The candidate must have studied Physics and Chemistry as the main subject in their graduation.
Q.6 Can students choose their regional language as the exam language?
Despite the fact that English is the default language, the students can choose their regional language as the exam language. If a student wishes to choose any other language as his exam language then he can select from the list of following languages- Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. If, in any case, there is any type of difference/discrepancy/dispute in the Questions between English and the opted language, then the content of English version will be considered.
Q.7 For appearing in CBT stage 2 (Technical Abilities), which exam group should students choose?
– The students can choose the exam group as per their educational qualifications. The candidates whose educational qualifications are not figuring in the chart but are eligible for DMS posts have to choose any one of the above listed Exam Groups other than CMA Exam Group, during the registration for online applications of this CEN.
Q.8 Which exam group will be suitable for the candidates who have B. Tech (Computer Science/IT)?
– The candidates who have educational qualifications of BE/B.Tech (Computer Science) or BE/B.Tech (Information Technology) can apply for both the posts of JE(S&T Department) and JE (IT), but will have to opt for either Electronics and Allied Engineering Exam Group or Computer Science and Information Technology Exam Group.
Q.9 What can be reason for the candidates not getting desired post preference while filing up the application form?
– Before filling up the application form, the candidates should make sure that they have acquired the knowledge about post-wise vacancies in their region while applying. The visible posts for preference will be those who vacancies are released by candidate’s chosen RRB.
Q.10 Which is the eligible post for the candidate having MCA degree?
– The candidate having MCA degree can apply for JE IT post only.
Q.11 Is there any similarity in exam pattern of DMS, CMA, JE (any post)?
– Yes, there is similarity in exam pattern for all these posts but there is difference in CBT stage 2 where the technical abilities subject will differ as per candidate’s exam group.
Q.12 Is there any provision to apply for more than one post?
– Yes, the candidates can apply for more than one post but they have to select their preference while filling up the application form. In addition, the candidate will also have to choose only one exam group to appear in the exam.
Q.13 Can a student change his chosen RRB after filling up application form and receiving registration number?
– No, the student can’t change his RRB. It is because once the RRB is selected, preliminary registration is completed and registration number is allotted then under any circumstances, change of RRB will not be permitted.
Q.14 Will selected candidate get permanent jobs?
– Yes, the selected candidates will get permanent jobs.
Q.15 What will be the basis for the final merit- CBT stage 1, CBT stage 2 or both?
– CBT stage 1 test is of screening nature while the short listing of candidates for the DV will be based on the normalized marks obtained by candidates in CBT stage 2. The normalization scheme which will be followed for short listing the candidates from 1st Stage CBT to 2nd Stage CBT and for DV will be based on candidate’s performance in 2nd Stage CBT.
